Strategies to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Wrightsville Beach. Reserve your Wrightsville Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. New Construction, Oceanfront Duplex with Incredible Views! 4BR\/3.5BA has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
