We are committed to keeping Oak Island as pristine and gorgeous for our guests as possible. We have started by installing solar panels, turtle-friendly lighting, and an EV charger and adding household items like reusable drink containers, wine glasses out of sustainable materials, reusable paper towels and drink napkins. We plan to continue to add items that will preserve the environment as we can. With a pristine shore and the prospect of another turtle nest and infant turtles heading out to sea as our inspiration, we are committed to an eco-friendly home and preserving Oak Island's beauty.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Wrightsville Beach vacation property experience:

When to book a Wrightsville Beach rental & When to go:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Just Beachy: A Serene Beachfront Escape on Oak Island has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
