Finding the best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Wilmington. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Downtown Wilmington Townhouse has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
