Getting the best vacation rental experience:

When to book a Wrightsville Beach rental & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Wrightsville Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First, have your group select dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Downtown Urban Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach destination you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
