Tips to get the optimal Wrightsville Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking your Wrightsville Beach rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Classic Beach Bungalow in Excellent Location in Carolina Beach with AC, WiFi has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Have a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
