Rental booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 300 Steps To The Beach - Stone’s Throw Bungalow has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
