This cheerful, cavernous home is ideal for a family or two, or a group of friends. This peaceful, but centrally-located spot is 0.7 miles (a 10 min. walk) to the beach, and is within a short walking distance to plenty eateries, sweet treats, beach stores, grocery store, and more. You'll appreciate having room for up to 11 guests with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a sunroom, completely-equipped kitchen, front and back covered porches, living room, laundry room, workspace with a desk, and humongous 2 car garage.
The space
This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath has marvelous space for your group to savor time at home or exploring all of the fun and sun that Oak Island has to offer.

LIVING ROOM/KITCHEN/DINING AREA: The open living room, kitchen, and dining areas will be ideal for your whole group to gather, share a meal, and decompress.

SUN ROOM: Located off of the primary bedroom on the first floor, this space includes a roomy sectional that turns into a sleeper couch, sleeping 2 guests.

BEDROOMS: The first floor, primary bedroom includes a King bed and an attached full bath. The second bedroom, located on the second floor, offers a Queen bed as well as a twin daybed. The third bedroom (we call this the “kids’ room”) includes a Full size bed and two Twin beds. All bedrooms have clothing storage, both dressers and closets for you to unpack and make our home your own, even for a short time.

OFFICE WORKSPACE: Located in the entryway on the second floor, if you DO have to work while on vacation at our place, you’ll have a comfortable, somewhat private space to do so.

FRONT PORCH: Sip your morning coffee or watch the evening sunset in our rocking chairs.

BACK PORCH: A screened in porch out back is a great place to step outside and breath in the salty air.

Guest access
You’ll have full access to the entire home, garage, front and back yards.

Other things to note
We require guests who rent our home to be at least 21 years of age.

We provide beach towels, a few beach chairs, a beach cart, and beach toys. We simply ask that if you damage any of these items during your stay, kindly replace it.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Golf Club and Founders Club at St. James Plantation are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. Traveling with kids? Consider North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Magic Mountain Fun Park. Discover the area's water adventures with jet skiing and kayaking nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking/biking trails and cycling.

How to get the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in Oak Island. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Queen B has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
