Our 1914 bungalow offers 3 huge bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The historic appeal welcomes you as soon as you walk in with the original fireplace, mantle and trim. Our home was completely remodeled in 2022 with new HVAC, countertops, cabinets, appliances, floor and carpets. There is off street parking in the roomy backyard with its own private driveway. Appreciate your coffee on our covered porch or on the deck in back. We offer every luxury to make your visit special!
Our home is located on a peaceful street in the historic district. We are just over a mile to the Riverfront, with proximity to the Cargo, Soda Pop and Brooklyn Arts District and all of the eateries and attractions in downtown Wilmington.

About the Area

Located in Wilmington, this vacation home is in the city center. Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Carolina Heights and Cape Fear Museum. Children's Museum of Wilmington and Wilmington Railroad Museum are also worth visiting.

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. The Port House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
