Tips and Tricks to get the very best Wrightsville Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. To get the best rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation rental in the Wrightsville Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Shell N Shine Pet friendly Rental with great views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
