How to book the best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental & When to go:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wrightsville Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Serenity's Star - West End Oceanfront - Fantastic Views! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
