Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Wrightsville Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

Finding the best rental in the Wrightsville Beach area:

  • First and foremost, have your group select trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. PW602: Pelican Watch 302: Oceanfront, Indoor + Outdoor Pool, Hot Tub has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
