Our top Wrightsville Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to select the perfect rental:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Private Pool, Hot Tub, Ocean View, 2nd Row, Single Family has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
