Tricks and tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Wrightsville Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Dune Deck North - Duplex - Oceanfront Classic in Gated Community! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach attraction you long to visit, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
