Spectacular Holden Beach earned the distinction as America's #1 Family Beach from Stephen P. Leatherman, Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University and was also ranked as the “Top Family Beach in the Country” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine.

We have been coming to NC beaches for over 20 years and knew one day we wanted to have our own home to savor with family and friends. Our oceanfront home is 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, heated pool/spa and only a few steps out the back door and your toes are in the sand. Our home will rent from Sunday to Sunday so you can avoid that rough Saturday Beach Traffic.

Outdoor: Three covered decks and one uncovered deck offer places to relax and see sunrises and sunsets. The heated saltwater pool/spa and Tiki Bar offers a nice place to hang out in the evening after a day at the beach. The pool/spa is 7'6" x 22' with a depth of 4'9". The pool can be heated from October through May for an additional fee of $910 ($130 per day), you must schedule one week before check-in.

Indoor: Stunning vistas from all places of the home. The kitchen is completely outfitted and has an additional ice machine and a drink cooler. Three bedrooms have their own ocean view and direct access to the decks. The den has a fireplace that is available in the fall/winter months. You can appreciate a family movie on the huge intelligent tv with surround sound.

Cavernous 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has direct access to a bathroom, and three bedrooms have private ocean vistas with private door to a deck. The master bedroom has a full wall of windows and a private seating area to enjoy the tranquility the view brings. All bedrooms have a tv, and closet. Upstairs there is a hallway reading spot that has many books to pick from.

There is a walk in closet and the master bathroom has a Roman Shower and an chic complimentary standing tub with chandelier.

Holden Beach has a pier that provides for a great fishing spot, great vistas and entertainment for families (under construction at this time). There are many great eateries, delicious ice cream stores, fun shopping and nice sidewalks for walking and bicycling.

Author Tracey Minkin in Coastal Living writes about Holden Beach, "This best-kept secret on North Carolina’s southernmost stretch of coast is a laid-back escape that families appreciate, and multimillion-dollar, post-hurricane beach replenishment projects have only amplified its sandy gifts. Here, thankfully, the pleasures still remain simple, from cycling and kayaking by day to ghost crabbing by nighttime."

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Holden Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Holden Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful Custom Oceanfront Home renting Sunday to Sunday has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
