Booking the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. A Whelk on the Beach-Lower by RedAwning has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
