Tips to get the very best Wrightsville Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Wrightsville Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Have a Fabulous Time at Family Tides-First Floor unit-Pet Friendly has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
