Vacation rental tips:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Gresham - Classic top floor beach cottage. Sleeps 6. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
