Tips to get the optimal Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Finding the best value:

  • To get the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect vacation home in Oak Island:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Feelin' Tip Sea: Lovely Coastal Home with Fire Pit on Oak Island, NC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
