Whether you’re here for relaxation or adventure, or a bit of both, you’ll find it all right here. Our chic riverfront penthouse condo resides along Wilmington’s famed Cape Fear River Walk.

Stroll by the water on the 1.75 mile riverwalk during the day to relax and stop at the unique stores and viewing areas along the way, or take a walk at dusk and be immersed in the radiant sunsets and lights of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge as they reflect on the water. Explore downtown and find local attractions, eateries, stores, and nightclubs within walking distance of the condo. Just step outside and you’ll venture into the heart of Wilmington, immersed in a metropolitan scene of art, history, and diverse culture. If you feel like wandering out a little farther, you can spend a day calming in the sun and sea with Wrightsville Beach just 10 miles away.

Settle in your refined yet casual space, equipped with a modern kitchen and en-suite laundry. Take in the broad vistas from the covered balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. As the evening settles, cap off your adventurous day with a handcrafted drink and late nighttime bite from one of the many bars and eateries right outside your door. At the end of the day you’ll comfortable up in a ridiculously comfortable king-sized bed while your friends or family rest their heads on the full-sized Murphy bed. Unwind here. Adventure here. Discover Wilmington here.

The enormous, covered patio has a direct view of Battleship USS North Carolina, the Cape Fear River, and the Riverwalk. Netting was added to the balcony to prevent birds from claiming it as their home, since they seem to adore the view as much as people do!

Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Epic views in the heart of downtown Wilmington has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach attraction you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
