  • To get the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wrightsville Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.

  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
