Bald Head Island Info: A private island, you can only get to by boat or ferry. You will leave your car behind and cruise on the golf cart included at the home. The island is roughly 5 by 2 miles. You can bicycle around the island in only an hour or two! Bald Head Island is home to the oldest Lighthouses in North Carolina. There are many nature hikes, wildlife watches, beach accesses, stores, eateries, and activities.

Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
