Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:

When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. To get the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Wrightsville Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect rental home:

  • First, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 8-bedroom, 8-bathroom with Elevator & Heated Pool has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
