Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation property experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To find the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wrightsville Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 7BR\/6.5BA Ocean View Home - Pool, Elevator, Dog Friendly, Sleeps 18 has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Wrightsville Beach beach you love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
