Strategies to get the best rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Wrightsville Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 7 Bedrooms, 6.5 Baths, Elevator, Heated Private Pool, Linens Included has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
