Tips and Tricks to get the best Sunset Beach vacation property experience:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Sunset Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your Wrightsville Beach rental:

  • Start by having your group select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Club Villas unit 23A has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
