Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 1916 Coastal Grandmother & modern ADU with firepit has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
