A Walk on Sunshine is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath home located in Keeper s Landing. This reverse floorplan bungalow has a kitchen, living room with sleeper couch, dining and guest bedroom / bath upstairs. The bedroom includes Double size bunk beds with a twin trundle. Downstairs has a master king suite and laundry area. Off the master is a nice screen porch to savor your morning coffee and listen to the wildlife! The broad patio off the back is ideal for grilling. Appreciate a shower in the private outdoor shower area after a long day at the beach. Travel to East Beach or the BHI club in the 6-passenger cart included with the home. We are only a short 2-min. cart ride to the beach! Membership available for the BHI club with golf can be purchased directly through the club. Apple TV and upgraded wifi in the home

Sticking to your budget:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
