Booking the best vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the best value, shift your family's Wrightsville Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your prefect Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Walk downtown from this beautiful 1850 Antebellum home has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
