Tips for getting the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • To start, have your family decide on dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Walk downtown from this beautiful 1850 Antebellum home has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's an individual Wrightsville Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
