Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Hobbs Realty - Unwind in \"Sea Salt,\" a gorgeous oceanfront home with a private heated pool. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a certain Wrightsville Beach beach you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
