GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorbikes, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple cars, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•Pups are NEVER allowed on any furnishings. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.)
•Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment.
•ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh.

Getting the best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting and booking the perfectrental home:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. \"The Surf Spot\": Pup friendly, a Pool, and the Ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
