  • Private vacation home

Coble Cottage is a impressive oceanfront home with one acre of land giving broad vistas of the ocean and dunes. A private boardwalk leads to the peaceful beach on the east end of Holden Island. This charming home features its own secluded private pool (open from Easter - October).

The home is located in the gated subdivision of Dunescape where guests savor the use of the community swimming pool, tennis/pickleball courts, a full basketball court, and sand volleyball. There is also a community beach on the Intracoastal Waterway. Handsomely decorated, including den furnishings with a queen sleeper couch, this home will bring serenity to your beach vacation! Guests can also appreciate the Keurig coffeemaker, lounge chairs by the pool, an outdoor shower with hot & cold water, and a charcoal grille under the home.

Embrace the warmth of southern 'Hobbspitality'! Savor a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, makeup wipes, and bar soap. Your beds are made with fresh linens and a lightweight blanket, so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! While we provide a lightweight blanket, we urge you to bring additional layers for your comfort. Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Holden Beach. Booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the bestrental:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Hobbs Realty - The stunning \"Coble Cottage\" has beautiful views and a heatable pool in a private, gated community. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach destination you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
