Tips for getting the best Oak Island vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental home in the Wrightsville Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. The Club House \/ 308 NE 59th Street - Coastal Vacation Resorts has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your family.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
