Booking the best Wrightsville Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Reserve your Wrightsville Beach rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sweet Retreat: 5 Bed\/3 Bath Oceanfront Home with Private Walkway to the Beach has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
