Tips to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Wrightsville Beach area:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Surfsong: Oceanfront Home in Private Setting on West Beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
