Strategies to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • To find the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking the best Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Summer Sands Dog Daze of Summer Room 306 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Wrightsville Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
