How to find the best Wrightsville Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Choosing the perfect rental home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom oceanfront Station One condo! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
