There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus a fifth dedicated sleeping space with two twin bunk beds in the rec room with upsized calming couch right off the lower patio and pool area. The roomy Master Suite and bath is located on the top floor and has a comfortable king-sized bed with its own private porch access that offers impressive sunrise and sunsets overlooking the waterway. Additional rooms - Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, bedroom 3 King bed, bedroom 4 has a set of bunk beds with two doubles and a queen pull out couch, and additional space 5 on the main level has a set of twin bunk beds. This spacious home provides room for everybody in the family to relax and savor their Oak Island vacation and includes plenty of space to entertain and dine. Preparing your favorite low country seafood dinner will be a delight. For a peaceful evening, relax on the back deck overlooking the marsh and the outdoor pool area where the whole crew can appreciate after a long beach day or mosey on down to the end of the dock at the water's edge and observe the wildlife. We know you want to relax without any stops at the store when you get to the island. To get you started we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner.

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons.   • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
