Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sound front home with boat slip in the heart of WB! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
