  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance.   • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
