Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation property experience:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:

  • First, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. LOCATION! Stunning OCEANFRONT HOUSE, Private POOL, 2 ELEVATORS, Parking 8 cars has 11 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
