How to find the best vacation home experience:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Recently updated condo steps from the Beach with Ocean View has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
