Located on the beach, this condo is in Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach. Carolina Beach and Halyburton Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Tregembo Animal Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to book:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To get the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to dates and a budget.

  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
