Tips to get the optimal rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pelican Watch 502 - Bullard Realty has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
