How to get the best Holden Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Holden Beach. Booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Outstanding Beachfront Family Duplex w\/Free WiFi, Patio, Deck, Central AC, W\/D has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
