Whether it is time to walk on the beach, fish from the surf, throw horseshoes in the sand, ride bicycles down to the Point, relax with beverages on your open deck, load your paddle board into or take an evening stroll over to the Oak Island Pier to have a nice dinner at the Island Way restaurant - this LOCATION HAS IT ALL!

Sticking to your budget:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
• Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
• Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
• Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
