Our top Wrightsville Beach vacation rental home tips:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose your dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. New Listing - Beautiful oceanfront condo with pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
