Shifting Sands offers a traditional floor plan, 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and 2 half bathrooms, with one of the bedrooms and a half bath being located in the private Crofter. A really comfortable abode, the kitchen features a huge bar for additional seating. Everything on the first floor is well-lit by the ambient light coming through the view-promoting windows. Grand living room with leather couches centers around a handsome gas fireplace. The first floor provides a King Master Suite with tub-shower combo & oceanfront vistas. Just off of the kitchen is a bunk room with a dedicated full bathroom. Upstairs has a bedroom suite with two Queen beds & glass surround shower in an en-suite bathroom. An oceanfront King master bedroom suite is also located on the second floor and provides a private deck for sunsets, tiled bathroom with separate shower and garden tub. A fifth bedroom and half bathroom are located in the separate guest home/crofter, which offers a little additional privacy! When to go & When to book:

  • To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it.
