Shifting Sands offers a traditional floor plan, 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and 2 half bathrooms, with one of the bedrooms and a half bath being located in the private Crofter. A really comfortable abode, the kitchen features a huge bar for additional seating. Everything on the first floor is well-lit by the ambient light coming through the view-promoting windows. Substantial living room with leather couches centers around a enchanting gas fireplace. The first floor provides a King Master Suite with tub-shower combo & oceanfront vistas. Just off of the kitchen is a bunk room with a dedicated full bathroom. Upstairs has a bedroom suite with two Queen beds & glass surround shower in an en-suite bathroom. An oceanfront King master bedroom suite is also located on the second floor and provides a private deck for sunsets, tiled bathroom with separate shower and garden tub. Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • To book the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective.
