You will appreciate everything Timbercreek 18A has to offer for your vacation to Bald Head Island. Besides the comfortable accommodations and the handsome creek vistas, you have access to one of the few private pools on the island and our Timbercreek dock. Our rental is available for 7 nighttime stays from Sunday to Sunday from early June through the last week of August. Not as many nights required during the off summer season. Feel complimentary to use our two kayaks to discover the creek. The dock also accepts for crabbing and fishing just steps from the condo. We provide two golf carts for exploring the island and for simple access to the beach of course!

There is a garage that stores one of the golf carts, beach amenities, and a full size washer and dryer. All Timbercreek buildings consist of two properties. The A unit is the top floor, the B unit is the middle floor and the garages are on the base floor. The buildings are generously spaced apart so you can savor sitting on the outdoor screened in porch. We have comfortable patio seating for 6-7 guests.

You have the option to purchase a weekly membership to the Bald Head Island Club for access to their pools, tennis courts, eateries, and golf course.

About the Area

Bald Head Island is home to this condo. The Clubs at St. James and Southport Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. With kayaking, motor boating, and surfing/body boarding nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

When to visit Bald Head Island & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.

Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses.   • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
