Wrightsville Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental in Wilmington:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Magnolia House - Central Downtown has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
