Islands is a new 4Bd/4Ba townhouse constructed with bespoke finishes and pretty yet comfortable coastal decorating throughout. Ideal fit for a family that loves to vacation in style! This property is an painless 4 min. walk to the beach and close to the Ocean Front Grille and Tiki Bar. Centrally located to all things Carolina Beach: cycling, kayaking, fishing charters, hiking at the CB State Park and our famed boardwalks and fishing piers with great eateries and shopping!

Other Things to Note:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach, is home to this vacation home. Ocean Front Park and Federal Point History Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Carolina Beach Arcade and Four Hounds Distilling. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting.

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.

Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.   • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
